My 30 Days Wild #8

Today, I had more time to spare. So with a couple of friends, I helped clean the bird feeders.
To start with, we gathered them up...

...emptied them out of old seed...

...then washed them thoroughly.

One of the feeders from Potteric Carr, needed repairing, so they left that to dry in a clamp.

Whilst the feeders were drying, we turned our attention to the baths.
Birds need clean water just as much as we do. So providing a couple of bathing points in the garden will sure to bring you views of soggy birds!

Adding a variety of sized pebbles will give all birds (and maybe small mammals) a chance to drink and bathe.

Bird baths done, we sorted out the seed. A very handy 40 litre 'Knodd' bin from Ikea proved to be the perfect size for a 25kg of mixed seed from Vine House Farm!

I submerged myself because it smelt nice...

Bird feeders filled...

...we hung them back up.

Including these homemade fat balls which the birds adore!
I'll show you that in another post!
