My 30 Days Wild #14

Today was the day the new potting would arrive!
We had until lunchtime to prepare the patio and the surrounding area.
But first, before the sun burnt the delicate droplets from the leaves, I saw this on a plant by the pond.

Like small diamonds on a pendant!

With the patio scrubbed clean (well, pressure washed)...

...the new potting shed was pieced together and stood proudly, awaiting its first use.

After the workmen had left, I continued where I left off from yesterday; trimming the beech hedge.

It looks drastic but there was so much dead under the new growth, that a 'light trim' wouldn't be doing it any favours.
Of course, we checked for any nesting birds and luckily, there weren't any.

Trimming of the hedge is certainly a gradual thing, so there is still plenty of it overlooking the garden, for the birds to shelter in.

As it was my friends last day of her holiday, we watched all the Springwatch there was to watch! Which in turn, made a lovely welcome break from the outdoor heat!
