Today, I had a day out in a pleasant market town called Wetherby. It's a lovely place, especially in the summer, so I'm told!
Though it is a small town, it holds 9 charity shops, each doing a fantastic job supporting the charities they are representing and of course, providing the locals with fantastic bargains!
After looking round all 9 charity shops, we went and had lunch in Morrisons cafe. The riverside cottage, a tearoom by the river, was closed for their winter break. That is the usual place my Wetherby friends go for lunch.
We tried to making it fun, but we all wanted a tearoom really!
After our "fun" lunch, we all went for a walk. We tried a new walk today, we walked along the old Harrogate to Church Fenton railway line, which is now a cycle path and loved by many dog walkers!
It was a pleasant walk, full of birdsong, crisp cold air and alot of puddles!
We soon came across a plaque...
For the rest of the walk home, we relished this dedicated man's efforts to create the cycle routes we all know throughout Yorkshire.
