Today, I went on a walk around York. I'm in York quite alot but this is a guided walk, set by the AA. It took me down streets I didn't even realise existed! It is like Diagon Alley in Harry Potter; they are there but you have to know where to look.
The walk started near the Museum Gardens. Walking through, we spotted this 'Yarn Bombing' sight.
The walk took you past sights of all sorts, which included this quaint little church.
Next there was a very busy street...
Which lead you to some fantastic views of the Minster!
Soon, we found ourselves on a street with a funny sounding name... Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate... I have no idea what it means either!
Aha! This is the Harry Potter street. It isn't obvious at all but once you're down it, it is like you're in a wizarding world!
After our mini tour of York, we of course went to our favourite tearoom; Little Shambles Tea rooms!

Wetherby walks and cafe fun
Today, I had a day out in a pleasant market town called Wetherby. It's a lovely place, especially in the summer, so I'm told!
Though it is a small town, it holds 9 charity shops, each doing a fantastic job supporting the charities they are representing and of course, providing the locals with fantastic bargains!
After looking round all 9 charity shops, we went and had lunch in Morrisons cafe. The riverside cottage, a tearoom by the river, was closed for their winter break. That is the usual place my Wetherby friends go for lunch.
We tried to making it fun, but we all wanted a tearoom really!
After our "fun" lunch, we all went for a walk. We tried a new walk today, we walked along the old Harrogate to Church Fenton railway line, which is now a cycle path and loved by many dog walkers!
It was a pleasant walk, full of birdsong, crisp cold air and alot of puddles!
We soon came across a plaque...
For the rest of the walk home, we relished this dedicated man's efforts to create the cycle routes we all know throughout Yorkshire.

Christmas Festivities and Happy New Year!
This Christmas seemed a bit rushed. Everyone was frantic and all over the place what with jobs and the lack of time to buy presents and such.
It didn't affect my Christmas spirit though!
I helped with the decorating.
FINALLY it was Christmas Day! So whilst I waited for everyone to get up, I danced with the angel at the top of the tree!
A few days after Christmas, I went to Matalan with 2 friends. Nothing amazing to be quite honest with you except the wall of fluffy soft towels!
After a sluggish week, New Years Eve arrived Teddy and Eccentric Teddy were over and I was so excited to see them! We played in the tree but shhh! Don't tell anyone!

I helped with the decorating.
Putting the tinsel on the tree was my favourite part!
Shhh! Don't tell anyone I climbed the tree!
I helped my friend finish some last minute wrapping too.
All the frantic-ness had calmed down by Christmas Eve, thank goodness! The tree was set, ready for the energetic Christmas Day!
There were alot of presents again this year!
All my friends went off to Midnight Mass. I stayed at home and slept, I was exhausted!
FINALLY it was Christmas Day! So whilst I waited for everyone to get up, I danced with the angel at the top of the tree!
Once everyone was up, we opened our presents. I got some amazing things this year!
After our gift giving, we prepared Christmas dinner. I helped with the roast potatoes.
And the table was set also, very nicely too.
We were all very stuffed but not too stuffed (like the chicken) because I managed to eat a yummy chocolate!
Before Christmas was over, I managed to squeeze in one last dance before going to bed. This time, I had a boogey with the very fabulously dressed mannequin man!
Now time for bed for some much needed sleep!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
