I had my first birthday today! It was great fun!
I started the day by going to the Sculpture Park near Wakefield. It was a lovely sunny day for it, it only showered a couple of times. Ok it was quite windy, windy enough to fly a kite and blow me away! I was glad to be with my friends, they made sure I didn't blow off to Emley Moor!
When we arrived, I paid for parking. It's certainly a different way to pay...
Next, I went to see a small galley filled with the works of Tom Frost and his 'The Wild Collection'. It was all screen printed and i especially loved the wind up birds.
Afterwards, I explored the grounds and may or may not have climbed a pear tree...
...and I had a good look at the sculptures which are dotted throughout the entire grounds.
It was incredibly windy in the open fields so I made my way back to the main building. I am glad I did so, I went over a hahahahaha bridge. It was actually going over a real ha-ha too!
Once at the main building, I was treated to a few snacks, I had a cappuccino, a yummy brownie and my eccentric friend bought an oreo ice cream. It was HUGE!
Once we were all back at home, there was a party tea specially made up. It was incredible! everything was made small; tiny sandwiches, tiny cakes, tiny sides, tiny everything!
My favourite were the root vegetable crisps, yum!
After the meal, I soon fell asleep. Well what do you expect, I am small and I ate alot!
