Yesterday was a very special day for a very special person.
It was the ordination of my lovely friend Glenda, though now she's Rev Glenda!
The service of the Ordination of Deacons was held in the stunning York Minster. I'll have to go back there one day and give it a proper look. It looked so fantastic both inside and out!
Challenge time!
See if you can find me!

Cycling to Wighill and a pub snack
The sun was out and there were only a few fluffy clouds in the sky when I cycled to Wighill this morning.
Wighill is tiny village somewhere in West Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside and farms.
Cycling was hard work... well what do you expect?! I have no legs!
I managed all the same and as did my friend who was coming from the opposite direction.
Once we were both together, we had lunch, a little picnic in a nice cosy corner.
Nom nom nom...
The church graveyard was a wondrous place, mini meadows of long grass and wild flowers paralleled the footpaths, surrounded by buzzing insects and hovering moths, with the occasional bird dipping in for a snack.
The pub called the White Swan is a place worth visiting. Their home made chips are certainly worth a purchase!

Going back in time to see Jorvik
Today, I went into York and visited the Jorvik Viking Centre down Coppergate.
It's fantastic in there! Stinks a bit but brilliant!
The ticket too gives you unlimited entry for a whole year from the purchase date.
I saw the recreated excavation under the glass floor
The ride was great fun, I tried to take pictures but clearly, they're not great...
I met the antler worker...
And right at the end, the famous Viking on the toilet!
Yes... We'll move on from there...
Until the next trip!
